Stop the presses and prepare the pancakes, you can now buy a bottle of squeezable Biscoff sauce to slather everything in speculoos. Originally made as a Dutch biscuit to celebrate the festive season, Lotus brought Biscoff into our lives as those little biscuits that come with coffee.
These days, everything from spreads to sauces are available, making Biscoff a sweet treat that’s great for your tastebuds and pretty bad for the waistline. Well, as the winter season approaches and we forget about trying to get our summer bodies, why not embrace Biscoff in all its gooey glory?
Available on Amazon right now, Biscoff sauce comes in at a hefty £12.99. That being said, you get a pretty impressive 1kg of the stuff, which sounds like a Saturday night Bridget Jones binge if ever I’ve heard of one.
There are currently no reviews, but I imagine anyone who’s bought a bottle is too busy licking it off their sticky fingers to have had time to write one. I’ll take a whole case please.
The revelation of Biscoff squeezy sauce comes after Biscoff & Go makes its way onto the market. According to Convenience Store, Biscoff & Go is available (RRP £1) to curb your cravings.
Frances Booth, category marketing manager for Lotus Bakeries, said: “It all began with a little red biscuit and now we have become a three category brand with the launch of Biscoff & Go rooting us firmly in the food-to-go market and driving sales in a new direction.
“We are delighted to introduce Biscoff & Go in the UK, so that our customers can enjoy the taste of Lotus Biscoff anytime, anywhere and in a handy dunk and go format. Biscoff & Go is the perfect snack and another way in which retailers can benefit from the nation’s continued obsession with the unique caramelised flavour of Lotus Biscoff.”
Anyone who’s had Dairylea Dunkers or Dairylea Jumbo Tubes (which are arguably superior), you’ll know how the Biscoff & Go format works. Start stocking your snack cupboard.
Recently, Lotus confirmed five (yes five) flavours of Biscoff ice cream are coming to the US. Making mouths water with classic Biscoff, chocolate brownie, salted caramel, Belgian chocolate chip, and blueberry cheesecake, there’s something for everyone.
Michelle Singer, Lotus Bakeries US general manager, said: “Biscoff is exploding in the US and we can’t be more excited to bring the beloved Biscoff taste to ice cream.”
UK Lotus lovers are in luck though. We’ve been able to soothe our overheated tastebuds with Biscoff ice cream since February. Just imagine, a big bowl of Biscoff ice cream, covered in lashing of Biscoff sauce. I’ll get the cholesterol test ready!
