We’re all for embracing your inner woman and going for that natural look, but let’s be honest…this one’s the pits.

Unicorn armpits first appeared last year as the brainchild of St. Louis-based hair stylist Caitlin Ford. Speaking to Allure, Ford explain why she decided to brighten up your day with unicorn armpit hair.

“My client wanted something fun she could show off while she was out celebrating St. Louis Pride Fest,” and then she goes on to reveal just how fun it was trying something she’d never done before. People have also been showing their dedication to dying their hair on Instagram, with Instagram user @theofficialrainbowgirl joining in on the fun.

While not as colourful as Caitlin’s, the art of dying your under arm hair isn’t something new – and even celebrities like Miley Cyrus have been known to add bold additions to their body for a few years now. While she doesn’t show it off as much as she used too, Miley has definitely been a modern-day advocate of celebrating your uniqueness by adding a dash of pink to armpit hair.

While the picture of the unicorn armpit hair has actually been making the rounds for quite a while now, it appears to have popped back up into the world and made a splash – even in 2019. Will you be pimping up your pits this year?
