The Hounds of Justice are back

On Monday Night Raw, after weeks and weeks of teasing, The Shield FINALLY reunited.

At Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, where The Shield first debuted and where they violently split two years later; the team of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose ran amok of The Miz’s ‘Mizzie’ award show. First taking down Curtis Axel, then Sheamus and Cesaro before cornering The Miz himself and delivering their patented Triple Powerbomb.

They weren’t done.

With all three men having had personal battles with Braun Strowman, they stopped the Monster Among Men from decimating fan favourite Matt Hardy before powerbombing Strowman through the announcer’s table.

The Shield are now set for a mega-showdown at TLC when they will face The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, and an enraged Braun Strowman in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.

The Shield

The Shield have history at TLC.

Their debut PPV match was a Six-Man Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Tag match against Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) and Ryback.

Not long after their victory at TLC, The Shield became the henchmen of Triple H, taking down anyone who stood up against The Authority.

A team of Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, Orton, Kane, and HHH made for total domination until The Shield turned their back on The Authority by saving Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler and instead attacked Corporate Kane.

Plan B

The Shield went on to defeat The Authority at Wrestlemania XXX, however, the celebrations were short-lived.

Less than two months later, at the place where The Shield first appeared from the crowd, Triple H showed how deep his power runs, unleashing ‘Plan B’ by turning Rollins against his brothers.

The Future of The Shield

The chances are that this reunion will be short-lived.

There is rumours that WWE is planning for Reigns to be the man to dethrone Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, meaning they would need him pushed to the main event Universal Championship picture by April.

However, whilst it lasts, let’s enjoy three of the WWE’s biggest stars coming together once again.

What are your thoughts on The Shield reunion? Let SPORF know!
