Piers Morgan is at it again and making friends around the Twitterverse. This time, he’s caught the attention of Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner and proved why you shouldn’t mess with the woman behind Sansa Stark.

Making a name for herself in HBO’s fantasy series, Turner has played the timid Sansa Stark since Game of Thrones’ first season. Sansa has grown to become one of the most formidable women in the Seven Kingdoms, and in case you need reminding how, check her out taking on Petyr Baelish in Season 7.

Leaving the wild world of Westeros behind her, Turner has adopted a little more of Sansa than we’d expected. Basically, she isn’t taking sh*t from anyone.

After his recent outbursts following vegan sausage rolls, Morgan has certainly been getting his fill of headlines at the moment. This hasn’t escaped the notice of Turner, who soon put her fiery temper to good use against the Good Morning Britain presenter.

It all started when Morgan shared a controversial tweet from Coronation Street‘s Beverley Callard about celebrities making mental health “fashionable”. Never one to hold back, Morgan mused, “She’ll be hammered for saying this, but 100% true”.

Turner is an advocate of mental health and quickly sent her own barb Morgan’s way. Calling the 53-year-old a “Tw*t”, Turner wrote, “Or maybe they have a platform to speak out about it and help get rid of the stigma of mental illness which affects 1 in 4 people in UK per year.”

It soon exploded into a Thrones-esque race for the Iron Throne as Morgan branded her “yet another woefully unqualified C-list celebrity”. He also tweeted, “Hi Sophie, please don’t abuse me like this – it’s harmful to my mental health. Thanks.”

It doesn’t take a genius to work out whose side most people fell on. There have been some great tweets in support of Turner, comparing her to both Sansa Stark and her Dark Phoenix character of Jean Grey. Does this make Morgan his very own Joffrey Baratheon…or perhaps he’s Ramsay Bolton?

Callard’s orginal tweet was in relation to her own personal struggle with mental health and probably wasn’t supposed to spark a debate between Turner and Morgan. Honestly, you couldn’t write this stuff.

Turner is the future Mrs. Joe Jonas as has definitely lived up to her Thrones legacy by taking no prisoners. She’s yet to respond to Morgan’s last outburst, so we’ll have to see how this one plays out. I’ve got an idea — why not display his head atop the Winterfell battlements?
