Love Island star, Montana Brown, has shocked her fans with a dramatic hair transformation.
The 23-year-old revealed the new look on Instagram, and informed her fans that she was off to popular festival, Coachella.
She wrote: “Supposedly blondes have more fun? what do we think? Just in time for coachella”.
The reality star also took to her Stories to share a frank and personal monologue regarding her recent ‘disappearance’ from social media following the death of her close friend, Mike Thalassitis.
She said: “I just wanted to say sorry I haven’t been very present on stories and everything, I’ve just looked a little bit like an egg and I didn’t wash my hair for quite some time and I just wasn’t really up to it.
“But yeah, I’m back, I’m still very sad, I don’t think you ever really get over something like this, but yeah, lots of exciting things coming up and there are things to be happy about as well.
“So love you all so much, and I got my hair done and I finally put some make up on, it’s a miracle.”
She added: “And I actually wanted to say a massive humongous gigantic thank you to everybody who messaged me.
“Honestly, I did think social media was a place for torment and for perfect people, but it’s actually been amazing the support from strangers as well as influencers and my friends and my amazing boyfriend.
“It’s honestly been overwhelming and it’s really helped so thank you so much, and I said to myself I wasn’t going to say the next part, but you trolls out there are the reason that people get in such a bad place and people get insecurities, so if you could just remove yourself from the internet that would be ideal.”
This comes just days after Mike Thalassitis’, funeral. Reality stars, friends and family of Mike travelled down to Southgate, North London to lay their loved one to rest.
Montana could be seen sobbing as she entered the church, shortly after announcing that she would be making a speech during the service. She shared a heartbreaking post about Mike earlier that morning on her Instagram, saying: “Miss the FaceTimes never felt so empty and anxious. Hope you’re above listening to my speech today… I know you’re pointing your finger at me right now and saying “you cow” for uploading this #youwillneverbeforgotten #loveyou.”
She added: “Wished today would never come”.
Fellow Love Island contestants, Jamie Jewitt, Amber Davies, and Camilla Thurlow all showed up to mourn the loss of their friend, and Caroline Flack even joined along to pay her respects. The pair were once linked together as a couple.
Following Mike’s death, his manager Dave paid tribute to his former client, writing: “I’ve lost a great friend this weekend. We went out last week and as always you made me laugh with your quick wit. You were far too good looking, like some kind of Greek God. A well mannered gentleman and fantastic client who I am proud to call my mate. You have left me a broken man, my heart feels shattered.”
One person noticeably absent from the service was ex-girlfriend Megan McKenna, who is currently in Nashville recording new music and dealing with her own grief personally. She has been papped looking extremely downcast while fetching food in Nashville following the funeral of her ex-boyfriend.
It has been revealed that music from the service included tracks by Phil Collins, Cat Stevens, Coldplay’s heartbreaking ballad Fix You, and Mike & The Mechanics’ – The Living Years.
Mike’s family have asked for donations to be made to mental health charity CALM in his memory.
