There’s more drama at Kensington Palace as new reports of Meghan Markle being miserable have started doing the rounds. Marrying into the Royal Family is no easy feat, but there’s an increasing number of stories that suggest the former Suits star isn’t happy in her new home.

After rumours of Christmas drama and a growing feud with Kate Middleton, the latest sources suggest Markle is utterly miserable and longs for a simpler life.

An insider told US Weekly (via Elle) that while the 37-year-old doesn’t read the idle gossip printed about her, she’s still aware it’s out there.

According to the source, “Meghan has so much on her plate, between being pregnant and dealing with the public backlash, and she’s finding the whole situation incredibly stressful.”

Although it’s unclear what is making Markle miserable, the site reports, “Harry feels responsible for Meghan being so miserable.” The Duke of Sussex is also “frustrated” that he can’t protect his wife from the media scrutiny.

Given the tragedy of Princess Diana and very public death in  1997, it’s easy to see why Harry is angry at Megan’s unwanted time in the spotlight.

It all started so well with that fairytale wedding in 2018 and Meghan expecting her first child this year, but it’s becoming obvious that all is not well behind the closed doors of the Royal Family. The new news comes not long after a whistleblower claimed Markle is nicknamed “Duchess Difficult” by Royal staff.

Considering Markle is trying to juggle her pregnancy, new-found Royal fame, and reports she could return to Suits, it’s not exactly how a mother-to-be normally spends her week.

For the time being, it sounds like the duchess of Sussex finds herself in a real-life version of Misery — just without Kathy Bates swinging a hammer at her ankles.

Who would’ve thought being a member of the Royal Household would have more drama than the average episode of Suits? Well, at least it’ll make for an interesting season of The Crown one day.
