The king of our hearts, Ovie Soko, is going to be back on our screens very soon.
The standout star of this year’s Love Island (alongside Maura Higgins, of course) has already landed a role on This Morning as a guest chef this Thursday.
One of our personal Ovie highlights was when he made breakfast for the entire villa, and he’s clearly made a bit of an impression as he’s going to be starring alongside Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford this Thursday at 10.30am to make them some brunch.
Ovie announced the news, saying: “Message! Cooking on This Morning is going to be dope, but I’ll need to graft hard if my infamous eggs are to live up to the hype for Love Island fans Eamonn and Ruth,
“They’re daytime royalty after all.”
He’ll then be interviewed with his new beau India Reynolds, and joined by fellow islander royalty Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury to be questioned about life after the villa.
This Morning’s editor Martin Frizell added: “Here at This Morning we pride ourselves on nurturing and developing new talent.
“Ovie was undoubtedly one of the most popular Islanders this year and so we’re thrilled to have him on the show as a brand new guest chef.”
The professional basketball player has over two million followers on Instagram following his stint on Love Island. He better thank Anna Vakili for bringing him back from Casa Amor, or at least buy her a pint!
Ovie isn’t the only one appearing on This Morning with a new gig. Maura Higgins made her debut on the daytime show on Monday. Her role includes being an agony aunt for the show and giving advice to viewers. Not only that, but she’s got a completely new segment, Maura Than Meets The Eye, where she undertakes challenges across the country.
We’re so proud!
