Love Is Blind has captivated the world since debuting on Netflix, but one moment on the show that left fans reeling was when Jessica Batten gave her dog wine and let Payton the Labrador drink from her glass.
If you can’t remember the scene, Jessica was talking to her on-screen partner Mark Cuevas about their future when she stopped to allow her pet to drink from her wine, and then proceeded to drink from it again.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the star said: “I definitely have never done that before; I won’t do that again. I love my dog more than anything and that was not something I would ever recommend anyone to do.
“I think I was just really uncomfortable. I don’t even remember doing it. I don’t know why I did that but it was definitely unnecessary for sure.”
Love Is Blind is a new Netflix show that has taken the world by storm. However, there’s a little-known fact about it that is blowing viewers’ minds.
Basically, the show premiered on Netflix on February 13, 2020. However, the show actually wrapped up its filming on November 15, 2018. Yup, the couples have had to keep their relationships on the down-low for a massive 14 months.
Contestant Damian Powers revealed this information to Refinery29, which means that if anyone actually did get married, they’ve had to keep it to themselves for over a year.
In case you haven’t seen the show, the basic premise is to try and matchmake couples without them ever seeing each others’ faces. Basically like the complete opposite of Tinder. The girls and guys are split into two separate apartments, and take turns to ‘date’ each other through a white wall. Once they find ‘the one’, the men have to propose through the wall. If the woman accepts, they meet the next day. They then go off on a romantic holiday for the remainder of the show, until the weddings at the end.
Will they go through with the marriages after they meet in person? Is getting to know someone’s personality through a wall enough? Also, what happens when they get their phones back? Well, they’re the questions that Love Is Blind is trying to answer.
It’s a pretty cool concept for a show, and people seem to be lapping it up. Although, it is quite surreal seeing people tell each other they love them after speaking for a couple of days through a wall.
Twitter users have been going mad for it, and saying what we’re all thinking.
One wrote: “Love is blind is so ridiculous and I know every single one of these couples won’t last, so is my dumbass still gonna watch it?…”
Another added: “Me counting down to Feb 27 to learn if Cameron & Lauren ends up married and living happily ever after. Because if they are not… There will be hell to pay.”
Find out what happens on 27th February when the final episode airs!
