Jackass star Bam Margera is concerning his friends and fans following a short stint in rehab where he quickly checked himself out.

Known as one of the comedic Jackass boys alongside the likes of Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O, Margera has continued to struggle with his alcohol addiction. It’s been an ongoing issue for the Viva La Bam and Punk’d reality star after he was rocked by the death of best friend Ryan Dunn back in 2011.

Seeking help for a third time, Margera reportedly faced an intervention over the holiday season and headed to rehab.  Just 10 days after he entered the Bay Area rehab centre to deal with his demons, Margera checked himself out in spectacular style.

Margera posted a lengthy handwritten note on Instagram for his 1.8 million followers to read. Highlighting his troubled past, the 39-year-old explained why he was checking out of rehab.

In one post, Margera wrote, “Well in rehab I am bored 50 percent of the time so that’s when I figured out that when boredom sets in and alcohol is off limits, that’s when I get creative as f***, an explosion of good ideas, exercise, skate, workout, yoga, hike, bike way more. Because I don’t like to sit stagnant! (UNLESS I AM DRUNK).”

The tragic tale revealed how Margera relapsed into his old ways after he was held up at gunpoint last summer. His sharp exit from rehab apparently came about because he was told he couldn’t make business calls or use the gym.

Continuing the rant on his Instagram story, Margera wrote about how his Bentley had come to pick him up and how he was happy with his decision. Sticking a middle finger to his critics, Margera rounded off with, “To the people who say, ‘YOU CAN’T DO IT ALONE, trust me,’ well guess what a–holes…I am not alone!”

Speaking to TMZ, Brandon Novak explained his concern for Margera following recent behaviour. Confessing, “enable an addict, bury an addict,” Novak said he’s worried that Bam will end up killing himself if he doesn’t get the right treatment.

Novak says that despite trying to get in touch, he can’t reach Bam and doesn’t know where he currently is. That being said, Margera has been active on Instagram since and seems determined to kick his alcohol addiction his way.
