The Haunting of Hill House was a phenomenon. It was almost like everyone was into horror for a couple of weeks. Personally, I watched three episodes and couldn’t sleep for two weeks.
Anyway for all of you who loved it, you’ll probably already know that a second season is on its way. However, this time it’ll be called The Haunting of Bly Manor and will have a new story with new characters.
You guessed it. The HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, a new chapter in the Haunting series based on the works of Henry James, is coming in 2020. pic.twitter.com/nvhRBEfH2E— The Haunting of Hill House (@haunting) 21 February 2019
And in even more exciting news, the show’s creator and director Mike Flanagan has confirmed the show has finished filming, which means it’s closer to being posted on Netflix than ever.
That’s a wrap on THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR. Congratulations to the cast and crew, the familiar faces and the new, and congratulations to the filmmakers who came on board to make this season their own.— Mike Flanagan (@flanaganfilm) February 21, 2020
Although, it looks like there might actually be some familiar faces. In an interview with The Wrap, Carla Gugino (who played Olivia Crain) has revealed that she’s been speaking to Mike Flanagan, the show’s creator, about a role in the new season.
She said: “Well, I can’t say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike and I really love collaborating and working together and any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honoured to. We’re talking a lot about it and we’ll just see if all schedules allow. All I can say is I’m very excited for Season 2 and to see what Mike does.”
