A Harry Potter River Cruise Is Coming to the UK and it Looks Magical
In August, a Harry Potter-themed river cruise will be coming to London and the itinerary sounds magical.
An American brand called Barge Lady Cruises is planning to offer up a six-day Harry Potter cruise which takes you to major Harry Potter filming locations including the home of Harry Potter – 4 Privet Drive and even the Great Hall.
There will also be a trip to the massive Warner Bros Studio. Fans of the Harry Potter universe will be able to fully delve into the Wizarding World. At the studio there will also be a chance to discover behind-the-scenes secrets of the famous Magical series.
Food will be provided throughout the trip and will all be Harry Potter inspired! Including Butterbeer and potions for you to try!
On the itinerary is a trip to Windsor castle, home to Virginia Water, the lake which is where Harry first meets Buckbeak in the Prisoner of Azkaban film.
The fourth day includes a visit to Picket Post Close. This is the real-life location for the filming of 4 Privet Drive (Home of the Dursleys) in The Philosopher’s Stone.
Day five of the trip is where you will get to explore the Warner Bros Studio Tour and check out the iconic props, costumes. You will also get to see the sets that Harry Potter was filmed in front of. Including the iconic Diagon Alley.
The Great Hall is also in the trip (Of course). A morning cruise will take you through the British countryside which will include a stop off at Oxford’s Christ Church College. Which was both in and inspired the scenery for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series.
This once in a lifetime Harry Potter themed river cruise will be taking place from the 5th-11th August with another date already being added on the 19th-25th August. There will be Harry Potter themed crew members who will make your stay on the cruise memorable and magical.
The rooms that you will be staying in on the cruise are also incredibly nice with en suite bathrooms and double beds as standard.
The whole boat will cost you a whopping $39,100 (approx £27,411). That’s adds up to a massive £3426 for one person.
If you don’t hire out the whole boat a single occupant rate start from $1,650 (approx £1,157), while double rooms are $5,350 (approx £3,752). Which is a whole lot of money to experience some Harry Potter magic.
Will you be forking out the cash to experience the wonderful world of Harry Potter or will you be saving it for a later Harry Potter inspired goings on. Like this Harry Potter convention!
