We’re now less than six months away from the greatest spectacle in sports entertainment, WrestleMania.

WrestleMania plans are often written a long way in advance, and everything else is just designed to get them there.

However, trying to guess the WWE’s thinking is a risky game; Vince McMahon loves a curveball.

But let’s bite the bullet and give it a go – here are SPORF‘s five predictions for WrestleMania 34.

[1] Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar [Universal Championship]

This one I’m most confident in.

The WWE has been building to this for the past three years. They know that if Roman beats Brock, it’ll cement his place as “The Big Dawg” of the WWE.

In fact, they had this match as the main event of Wrestlemania 31, before Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank contract to steal the victory.

I would be SHOCKED if this match doesn’t happen.

[2] Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose

The Shield are BACK!

However, for those who are reveling in reliving this 2012-2014 joyride, I have a feeling this will be short-lived.

So if Reigns is going to be challenging for the Universal Title at Wrestlemania, it probably means The Shield is set to re-implode in the next six months.

However, this time I’m wagering that Dean is the one to turn his back on his brothers, setting up this mega-match between the current RAW tag team champions.

[3] Carmella Cashes In

I’m least confident in this one.

Mainly because this could be ruled out at any point between now and April if she cashes in beforehand.

However, the WWE tried to make history by debuting the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank match this year only for James Ellsworth to be the one to actually retrieve the briefcase for Carmella.

This didn’t go down well.

The match was rebooked for Smackdown Live, with Carmella this time winning under her own power, however, the damage was done.

This means the WWE will be seeking to give the Women’s division another ‘moment’; where better than at the big one.

[4] AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Three years ago, I would not have imagined writing that prediction.

Although I will admit, this one was weirder.

In the past 24 months, the WWE has struggled to convert independent wrestling fans into WWE fans.

This matchup could change all that.

Not long ago, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura were two of the biggest stars on the independent scene.

Now the WWE has the chance to have them go head-to-head on the biggest stage – they’d be a fool to turn that down.

[5] Jinder Mahal vs Royal Rumble Winner John Cena [WWE Championship]

John Cena is currently tied with Ric Flair for total world title reigns, and second to Stone Cold Steve Austin in Royal Rumble wins.

However, it’s starting to become clear that Cena’s time in the ring is winding down. He’s spending more and more time helping younger stars and less time being ‘Super Cena’.

But he’s not done yet.

Having Cena win the Royal Rumble, tying Stone Cold in total wins, before winning the title at Wrestlemania to beat Flair’s record would be the perfect way for him to begin his final tilt with the company.

In fact, Jinder has thrown down the gauntlet for this matchup already – could we finally be seeing the end of the Modern Day Maharaja’s reign?

What do you think? Agree with our predictions? Or is there a different matchup you’d LOVE to see?

Let SPORF know.
