Riverdale’s Camila Mendes Just Lashed Out At A Fan On Social Media

Despite them seeming superhuman sometimes, it’s easy to forget that celebrities are just normal human beings, who also can get just as annoyed on a day-to-day basis as we ‘normal folk’ do.

After all, they have to mould into this ‘perfect style’ of person to just be more accepted and loved by their fans, despite probably being attacked by hundreds upon thousands of vicious trolls per day. It would be hard to not rise above it sometimes, which is what happened with Camila Mendes recently when one fan said something to her that she wasn’t quite impressed about.

Rather than turn the blind eye, Camila was forced to hit back at one of her followers who insinuated that she was much happier in her former relationship with Victor Houston – who she was dating earlier this summer.

Instagram account @anemarie2324, which has since been deleted posted two paparazzi pictures side by side: one of Camila with new boyfriend Charles Melton and one of Camila with Victor, who she knew from school. “Sorry but I have to post it. Cami looked happier with Victor,” the account owner allegedly said. Despite the whole thing being deleted, Clevver managed to obtain screenshots of the alleged comments – which you can see right over here.

In a statement released, Camila wrote: “I feel silly responding to this but I also feel the impulse to tell you that you’re wrong. I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life. It’s absurd to me that you call yourself a fan yet, your entire page is dedicated to disrespecting my relationship and my boyfriend, both of which you clearly know nothing about.”

“Charles and I were on our way to shoot a self tape, which he helped me with all day. Literally stopped everything he was doing to help me tape the perfect audition. I was running the lines in my head without even knowing there was a pap taking photos of us. Victor and I were at Comic Con, walking toward a huge line of fans, knowing there were cameras pointed at us. See the difference? I hope you’re young, because that seems to be the only justification for this kind of immaturity.”

To be fair, the girl’s right. Her relationship business is just that – HERS.
