There won’t be queues this year.

You may remember that last year Build-A-Bear Worksop held a ‘Pay Your Age Day’ event. The queues were so bad that many stores ended up having to cancel the queues due to safety concerns. It was a bit mad.

This year, the event is back. But they have learnt from their mistakes, and have got rid of the queues completely.

If you’re not familiar with the ‘Pay Your Age Day’ concept, basically Build-A-Bear teddies are usually around £20. However, with this offer you simply pay the age of the child. So if you have a two-year-old, you’ll pay £2. There is a minimum £1 charge for children under one.

To avoid the queues, customers are now being asked to register online (between now and June 16), at that point around 200,000 people worldwide will be invited to dedicated Pay Your Age slots between June 24 and 28.

A maximum of two children can get a bear with each ticket, but both children must be present on the day.

You get your chocie from their wide range of teddies, however there are some that are excluded from the deal: How To Train Your Dragon and Pokémon.

Every person who registers gets a ‘money-off’ coupon and will also be entered into a sweepstake to win a birthday party experience.
