B&M Is Selling Harry Potter Wallpaper And It’s Spell-Binding

These are right up my Diagon Alley…


Despite it landing into our world’s early 2000s, Harry Potter fandom is still very much alive and strong.

So much so, that new merchandise is always coming out for Potterheads to get their hands on, and the most recent comes in the form of wallpaper that is being sold in budget retailer, B&M.

For just £11.99, there is both Daily Prophet and Hogwarts House wallpaper options, and for a LITTLE bit more at £13.99, you can actually get a glow in the dark Mischief Managed wallpaper that has elements of the Marauders Map on it.

If you’re a fan of Harry Potter and love candles, but also are partial to dropping the odd F-bomb every now and again, then you might want to check out these pretty cool candles.

Sugar and Geek Candle has brought out a range of Harry Potter inspired candles, with fun names that say ‘I don’t give a’ accompanied by a fun (and a little bit naughty) play-on words of the popular Hogwart’s houses.

You’d be hard-pressed to find any piece of popular culture that has had the same kind of impact as the Harry Potter franchise.

A cultural phenomenon, the success of J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world has been unprecedented, showing no signs of slowing up any time soon.

Unsurprisingly then, the first official Harry Potter flagship store is set to open its doors in New York City.

According to the New York Daily News the store will be three stories high and will be the largest dedicated to the beloved franchise.

“Opening in Summer 2020, the store will house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in the world under one roof with everything from personalised robes and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans to a brand-new range of house wands with a design exclusive to the New York location.” Warner Bros. says in a news release.

Sarah Roots, SVP Worldwide Tours and Retail, Warner Bros. said: “This will be the largest dedicated Harry Potter store in the world and will become a must-visit fan destination where Harry Potter enthusiasts can engage with interactive experiences and numerous photo opportunities as they step into the magic.”

“We are very excited to be opening in New York. It’s the ideal city in which to launch with so many dedicated Wizarding World fans, a cutting-edge retail environment and a community that embraces innovative experiences.”

Meanwhile a new Fantastic Beasts documentary is set to air on BBC, presented by none other than Stephen Fry.

The documentary will look into the magnificent creatures created for the Harry Potter spin-off, and will examine JK Rowling and her ability to create such a diverse and interesting mythical creatures.

The series will also look at some of the most interesting animals that currently reside in the world, but would easily fit into a film like Fantastic Beasts due to their unusual and magical nature.

The documentary is a collaboration between the BBC, Warner Bros and London’s Natural History Museum, and accompanies a blockbuster exhibition at LNHM titled Fantastic Beasts: The Wonder of Nature.

“We want to show people that the natural world is just as amazing as the mythical, wizarding world,” said Clare Matterson, executive director of engagement at the Natural History Museum.

Stephen Fry said: “I could not be more delighted to be a part of this magnificent opportunity for us Muggles to show the wizarding world that the fantastic beasts in our world are more than a match for theirs.

“Joining forces with the combined powers of the fabulous BBC, its legendary Natural History Unit and the magical Natural History Museum we hope to be able to bring you closer than you’ve ever been to some of the most spectacular and extraordinary creatures ever seen.”

There currently isn’t a release date for the exciting new documentary, but it’s bound to be a hit with Potter fans.
