It looks like the OG Avengers are throwing down the (Infinity) Gauntlet as the latest toy leaks from Avengers: Endgame confirms a long-running fan theory.
The events of Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War literally left us for dust as Josh Brolin’s Thanos snapped half of the galaxy out of existence. With the Mad Titan waiting out his retirement in glee, it sounds like Iron Man and his band of merry men and women are crafting their own golden glove.
The shot comes from Twitter account @LegoCustomsnow and shows a crudely crafted Infinity Gauntlet that looks a million miles away from Thanos’ polished version. It’s also interesting to note the colour scheme looks very Iron Man-
This new guantlent looks awesome.@ManaByte , I think its not a spoiler because marvel wouldn’t let a secret come out on toys. You didn’t see red skull toys before infinity war. pic.twitter.com/8c1futcRUi

The various Endgame trailers have shown Tony Stark tinkering on something alongside Nebula. While we thought it was Iron Man building a way to get back from space, this could be the construction of the Avengers’ secret weapon.
The latest leak fits with a rumoured synopsis that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will journey back through the MCU’s convoluted timeline and try to grab the six Infinity Stones before Thanos.
Added to this, a recent Build-A-Bear (of all things) spoiled a cryptic line of Thanos saying “I had all the power in my grasp” alongside “How are you doing this? You do not have the will to wield the power of the Infinity Stones” to a mystery opponent.
Given Robert Downey Jr.’s place in the MCU and his role since 2008’s Iron Man, it makes sense that he’s the one to topple that purple prick.
Of course, it could all be misdirection. It’s important to remember that toy leaks aren’t always the real deal. Last year, Avengers: Infinity War leaks seemed to confirm Hulk would be inside the Hulkbuster armour, but instead, it was just standard Bruce Banner.
Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see. I’m just over two weeks, fans will be settling down to watch the movie event of 2019 and feel a little stupid at how many of those Avengers: Endgametheories were completely wrong.
