Ariana Grande is currently embarking on a worldwide tour celebrating her last two albums, Sweetener and Thank U, Next.
But she’s found herself in a bit of hot water after a photographer has sued the singer after she allegedly ‘used his pictures of her’ on her own Instagram account, without any credit or payment made towards him.
According to TMZ, A photographer named Robert Barbera claims Ariana had no right to post the pics on her Instagram page, and the photos in question have gained over 3,392,035 likes.
Barbera is reportedly asking for either the profits she earned from the photos or $25k per photograph, depending on whichever amount is greater.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Barbera claims he took the photo Grande posted on the day her album “Sweetener” came out last year. She used the photos in an Instagram post to help promote her album, but the photographer claims that he has not heard anything from the star over the use of his imagery to ‘further her sales’.
Ariana has yet to respond to these claims.
