Apple’s Secret AirPod Trick Is Blowing Everyone’s Minds

The legacy of Steve Jobs continues as AirPod users have just found out a shocking new trick they can do with their wireless earbuds.

If you’re the CEO of Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg, or Kanye West and can afford a pair of AirPods, you might not know everything you can do with them.

In a world where Alexa and Google Home are already listening to us, it turns out you can use your AirPods to secretly listen to other people’s conversations from up to 15 metres away.

Posting on Twitter, one AirPod owner revealed how you can turn the gadget into a listening device when you’re out of the room…let the conspiracy theories begin.

While some people already knew this, it’s safe to say that most of the Twitterverse has lost its mind after the tweet went viral.

While it’s a creepy feature to hear about, there is also another (and much more fun) revelation from the tweet. According to the man in the know, you can also turn your AirPods into walkie talkies. Just think of the hours of pointless amusement you could have in a different room to someone instead of walking next door to ask them a question.

Listen Live was rolled out as part of iOS 12 and was originally intended to help the hearing impaired. That being said, it sounds like much more fun to use AirPods to eavesdrop on co-workers, family, or even your significant other.

Who needs James Bond when MI5 can just buy a load of AirPods and leave phones dotted around? To be fair though, it would probably cost more that the government’s current spy budget to kit their staff out in AirPods.

Either way, consider your life changed for the better. Id try it myself, but unfortunately, I don’t really want to take out a loan to buy myself a pair of AirPods.
