Halloumi fans will be happy to hear that there Aldi has officially brought back their much-loved Halloumi fries, but the supermarket giant has also included a new halloumi burger so that meat-free lovers can enjoy even more halloumi offerings.
You can now choose from from a pack of ten halloumi fries or a pack of four halloumi burgers available for £2.29 each.
The delicious items are available to now buy in stores, and are joined by a whole host of exciting new products.
Just because summer is over, doesn’t mean you don’t have to include a bit of Spanish sun into your life, and what better way to do that then using your very own churro maker.
Aldi is currently selling one in their stores for £14.99, and now you’ll be able to enjoy them whenever you please – not just when you see them on the menu somewhere, or from their frozen section.
For anyone who doesn’t know, the churro is similar to a donut. Usually made with choux, the fried-dough pastry is a favourite of Spain, Portugal, and local fairs around the United Kingdom. A ride on the waltzers just isn’t complete without munching on a churro. Now, just imagine this dipped in molten caramel.
If you can’t be bothered to make your own and you think it’s well too much effort, then don’t worry – Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK confirms the caramel churros have landed back in our lives and just in time for the festive season. The post reads, “Caramel Churros in ALDI for £1.59 😍😋 These ones you can cook in the oven 👍”https://www.facebook.com/couponmumuk/photos/a.643166549089818/3230808746992239/?type=3&theater
It didn’t take long for rapturous applause to make its way around the culinary world. One happy shopper wrote, “Loved them last year!! Much better than ones you have to fry!!”, while another said, “Not tried the caramel ones. But might just have to test them”.
Someone else confirmed, “We had some the weekend yummy”, and a final foodie said, “We’ve had 3 boxes already 😂”.
Yes, the caramel churro isn’t exactly new, but Aldi’s version is back by popular demand.
The churro competition is hotting up though. Only recently, Lidl gifted us all with giant churros. Costing just £1.19 for a 500g bag, the pre-cooked churros are ready in just 15 minutes. Simply stick them in the microwave and enjoy the taste sensation before you know it.
These sugar-coated lovelies sadly don’t come with chocolate dipping sauce, but you can dunk them in whatever you want. Personally, I think they’re great with a slathering of Biscoff spread.
