While news first came out of Adele’s weight-loss a few months back, it seems that the singer has transformed herself so much, that even people within the same industry are struggling to recognise her.
Over the weekend, Adele decided to treat herself to a night out at Jay-Z and Beyonce’s exclusive Oscars after-party, and was pictured looking incredibly slim.
Polish TV presenter Kinga Ruisin posted a picture on her Instagram with the singer, saying that after bumping into her at the star-studded event, she didn’t initially recognise her.
The host wrote: ““At yesterday’s private party by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, I talked to Adele about … shoes (Adele in the photo after dropping probably 30kg!) …
“I know that sounds surreal. But listen from the beginning … It started with a conversation with Adele about my high heels. Honestly, I didn’t recognise her because she is so thin now!
She continued: “We talked and laughed until she said her name … The conversation with Adele was the ticket to a nice conversation with Rihanna. And then there was total madness!”
A few months back, Adele was pictured following her weight-loss for the first time while on holiday in the Caribbean, and the photographs sparked concern from fans.
The singer could be seen smiling, looking carefree on holiday with her pals – one of which included former One Direction star Harry Styles – but fans were a bit concerned over Adele’s apparent weight loss following her split from husband Simon Konecki.

“Adele needs to lose some weight. She’s too big and it’s unhealthy and I’m worried about her.”

One user wrote: “Wait Adele looks way too skinny here should we get worried?”
Another commented: “She just looks way sick and unhealthy,” but despite the public’s concerns many lashed out in support of the singer, saying that she couldn’t win either way and considering she looks happy to just let her be.

LEAVE HER ALONE. FFS
When she was obese y’all called her ‘too fat’ now that she lost weight y’all calling her ‘too skinny’. Forget that definition of perfect body and let that grown independent woman live HER LIFE. Adele herself once said ‘I make music for ears, not eyes’. pic.twitter.com/s1nACAHVGk— watermelo (@mainmelo) January 4, 2020
I think she looks fantastic, fair play to her. As long as she’s happy that’s all that matters.
